Less fitted and designed not to bind when the elbow is raised to fire. Maintaining all the essential needs with style; Action Shoulder Pleats, Collar Tab, Bellow Patch Pockets, and Poachers Pocket. Ideal for a day’s shoot but, also practical as a casual short coat.

You can order your Jacket in any of our tweeds. Add Trousers and Waistcoat to create your Traditional Tweed Suit or choose a luxury wool suiting for a smart, traditional or contemporary suit. For colder months, to wear as a Coat/Jacket, you can choose a Coating. Pure Cotton and Corduroy are yet another choice. Separate order forms are available for these different cloth types.

Very nicely tailored jacket

The Bookster shooting jacket I received exceeded my expectations for a made-to-measure garment. Quite simply, it is stunning in design and detail. The Bookster staff is very professional and attentive to detail. The jacket fit is perfect, and is comparable to bespoke jackets I have had made, but undertook several in-person fittings for. The quality of tailoring is also comparable to bespoke. All of the details are just right, both in form and function. The bellows pockets nicely hold 25 shells each, and the action shoulders allow just enough free movement for an excellent gun mount, without the jacket climbing up your shoulders. The lapels are not too wide as to interfere with placing the stock into the shoulder pocket. As soon as I saw the jacket Bookster made for me, I contacted them regarding a new shooting waistcoat. I plan to purchase other items, such as pants and shirts from Bookster, too. Thanks very much. I look forward to many years of good service from this jacket.
